A-TACS Camouflage Items – Review #2

Let`s continue our journey into the world of A-TACS camouflage gear. Today it`s time to take a look at Tactical Assault Gear`s MOLLE Folding MBITR Pouch.

If you are looking for an A-TACS radio pouch, there are not much opportunities on the market today. I wanted a version with elastic loops on the outside to put chemlights and other stuff to it. TAG offers two MBITR pouches in that style, so i went for the (much more fancy) Folding version. Check the following pictures showing the pouch fully loaded:

There are several adjustment options to fit your radio perfectly into the pouch.
On the top is a small square of nylon and velcro that secures the radio from any movement in that direction.

The bottom has a velcro flap opening to put the radio in and out or change battery that way.

Let`s examine the nice folding feature. To get a better understand how this works i placed the pouch on a plate carrier and took two pics – one in a closed and one in an opened position. I think these two photos explain almost everything:

To open and close the pouch it`s only a matter of seconds and you can operate the radio controls in no time (and a real need with a fake shell! ;-)).

If you`ll hope to use this piece of fantastic nylon with a PRC-152 radio i have to disappoint you. There is definitely no room for it!

Conclusion: This is a rocker! Cool looks, nice handling, perfect craftsmanship. Another TAG smasher and one of my favourite MBITR pouches in my collection so far. I think i`ll have to get this in other colors, too! 🙂
