A-TACS Camouflage Items – Review #9

Let`s continue our journey into the jazzy land of A-TACS. While still waiting for some Tactical Tailor stuff to arrive, i got my new Condor pouches in the meantime.

I wonder why Condor doesn`t offer single mag pouches (for two M4 mags) but doubles (4 mags) and triples (6 mags) only. It`s almost the same with pistol pouches, so i chose the versions seen in the pic above.

Here are the backsides – nothing special about it:

The pouches look cool, the fabrics seem spot on, stitching look bombproof.

You can adjust the lengths of the flaps by removing and repositioning them via velcro.
I came across this kind of versatility using EMDOM M14 mag pouches years ago.
I dig this kind of adjustability, because many mags really differ these days.

I consider the magazine pouches to be EAGLE IND. copies. And here comes the ugly part! These fellows are as tight as many Eagle pouches are (totally annoying)! I like pouches that hold mags secure (even with the flap open and repositioned in the back for a faster draw), but this is way too much (definitely NO chance to insert two magazines in a single pouch with one hand only)! FAIL! Perhaps i got some melons, but it bothers me too much so i will have to replace them or have to cut the elastics on the outside… 😎

On the other hand, the pistol pouches work fine – either with .45 or 9mm magazines.

So i got all my pouches to rig up my HPC – stay tuned for more to come! 🙂
