Helix II Winter Gloves By Haglofs

With time marching on, we have seen a lot of high-tech materials from the world of sports entering the MIL community. Outdoor companies like Arcteryx, The North Face, Mountain Hardware, Salewa, Under Armour, etc., have been seen in use by Special Forces Operators and common grunts alike. Many pimp their regular gear with sports underwear, waterproof shells or just protective/more advanced items like climbing knee pads, slim-lined googles, lightweight backpacks or cut resistant gloves…

Here it`s crazy white, frozen and fu**in cold and I thought about getting new, wind and waterproof gloves that go well with my interest in gear and outdoor activities.
After visiting several outdoor gear and sports shops, I decided to go with HELIX II gloves by HAGLOFS. I like the overall fit, solid construction and the looks that remind me of older Mechanix ones that have been seen by several Seals and US SOF units in the past.

Elastic wrists are always a good thing to have!

They run larger than every other pair of gloves I own. Usually I wear gloves around size 10, with the HELIX II size 8 is enough.

As far as I can tell, these gloves rock! They are very comfy, properly built and do their job! I used them for around 4 weeks daily and they met any demands, but it`s far too early to give them an overall rating (long-term experience is always needed when it comes to such reviews)! Perhaps you are in the need for a new pair of winter gloves (these are NO shooting gloves!), this might be worth checking out!
