Happy New Year 2015

To all you gear-geeks, loadout-lovers, reenactment-nerds, MilSim-lovers, crazy militaria collectors and Airsoft junkies: HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015!

A new year has begun, so what are my plans for 2015?

I`ll try try to participate in Airsoft events much more (I only have played three games last year) and get back into blogging even more frequently. Last year was annoying regarding this activities, but sometimes life runs not as easily and planned, so some hobbies have to stay back.

My interested have not been shifted away from gear in general, but are more and more going towards rarer objects/units/loadouts which require much more time in research. Obviously I am not talking about modern US gear here, because it`s available everywhere and there are tons of amazing resources out there.

My main focus is on IDF (Israel Defense Forces) equipment at the moment. I did not start collecting nor did I buy anything to build a loadout or IDF carbine, but I am hot for it. After some research it became very clear that it could be more cost intensive than imagined. Yes, there is always a cheap(er) way to go, but many impressions lack specific (unit) items and so are not sexy as they possible could. The Israeli basics are cheap and easy to get, but e.g. when it comes to typical IDF sights then a fake ACOG from a Chinese copycat is not as cool as having a real steel Meprolight M21. And putting a Mitznefet helmet cover on a PASGT/MICH or British M6 is far for being “gear-hipster-dopeness”… πŸ˜‰

So let`s get 2015 rollin`! Ceeee-Yaaaaaaa! πŸ™‚
